John Clear & Dan Martini - friends of 48 years

I went over to the Naval Underwater Museum at Keyport, WA to see the traveling art show (originally provided for tour by the Abbott Laboratories in 1943)... These are some FANTASTIC paintings (water colors and pen and ink) done by Georges Schreiber and Thomas Hart Benton (mostly) who both served aboard the boats in WWII. I was amazed especially by Schreiber's work in that his use of red for the "rig for red" scenes were so realistic from only his use water colors! - one of his painting is shown  below to give you and idea... If this traveling show EVER gets near you - go see it! (free here)... It really can grab the DBF veteran especially but all who see it will enjoy it!
